Portsmouth Cardiac Associates held an open evening in May 2008
demonstrating some of our cardiac equipment including a local
policeman trotting on the treadmill (for demonstration purposes only),
with a couple of local potential Olympic entries for 2012 assisting him.
We demonstrated our recent acquisition, our state-of-the-art
Echocardiogram with scanning actually taking place. Also ambulatory
heart & blood pressure monitors, angioplasty equipment, 'how to stop smoking' and general lifestyle advice, plus much more. Many local GP's attended, along with local college representatives, and members of the general public. With such a vast audience the event was a great success, and helped raise awareness of cardiac disease, and how to look after yourself.
